It is important to note that the elevation has been
magnified considerably to enhance the feeling of contour. It is also useful to
know that even though we think our planet is very rough with Mt Everest
projecting nearly 5 1/2 miles above the surface and the ocean trenches several
miles below - that if the earth was shrunk to the size of a grapefruit that it
would be smoother than a steel ball bearing !!
